Scandinavian Children’s Mission Philippines
The SCM purports to implement its programs and services to the poor in different regions in the Philippines identified to have the most number of depressed communities, poor families and suffering children needing immediate attention, care and affection. There are now six (6) CMP Centers strategically located in depressed communities. Two in the National Capital Region, three in Region IV-A and one in Region VIII.
Programs and Services
The SCMPI holds capital such as buildings, land and major capital investments like cars, machineries and fixtures over a certain amount. The organization is also involved in Relief and Rehabilitation efforts when called for.
Organization and Administration
The organization does not have any employees. It is managed by the Board of Directors and decisions are executed by the Country Director also called Mission Leader and SCM Representative. Whenever there is a need for manpower, this is drawn from the Children´s Mission Philippines.
Sources of Funding
Donors and supporters from the Scandinavian countries send their donations through SBM (Skandinaviska Barnmissionen) in Sweden and SCM is the receiving organization that on the one hand, funds all the programs of CMP. There are also local donors who give occasional or seasonal in kind and in cash which is usually designated donation.
Annual Budget
SCM operates on an annual budget of approximately twenty-five to thirty-five million Pesos
